Boomerang’s My African Stories
The days of our lives: If adults are feeling confined and trapped during the global pandemic and all its travel restrictions, imagine how the kids feel? We needed to give them something, we needed them to hang onto cultural discovery but from the comfort and safety of their own, socially distanced environments. This called for a programming piece!
The Idea
To keep kids entertained and educated, our concept was all about creating programming content that promoted cultural discovery. Kids sitting at home could now experience the sights, sounds and other country-specific practices from children across the continent. Since we couldn’t travel ourselves and do an amazing shoot, we came up with a treatment that mimicked social media stories…and user generated content pieces. So, the shoot material was forgiven thanks to the cuteness overload from the kids.
